{sewing} My Pendrell Blouse in Venice!

Time to start sharing the stuff I made and took with me on our recent trip to Italy, also known as best holiday ever in the history of the world! Yeah, I did like it. Just a little bit.
I'll try to keep it in order so first up, it's my Pendrell blouse in Venice!

Oh dear! Take me back already... Anyway, the top is super simple to make. There are no closures at all, nor are there any facings. Easy and quick! Result. I love the fit of it: loose enough to be comfortable but shaped enough not to look frumpy. Bless you, princess seams!

I made a size 6, version C. The plainest one. This was more like a test-sew, really. I wanted to see how it'd turn out and use up some leftovers at the same time. This fabric was leftover from my first Colette Hawthorn. I have plans to make several more of these now but I want the frilly sleeves on my next one. Watch this space!
As for Venice, it is just the most magical place I've ever been to. I loved everything about it and whatever crap you've heard about how it smells... Well, it's bullshit! I didn't smell anything and I have the olfactory capability of a bloodhound.
Scary gondola!
And seeing as everyone has seen pretty photos of Venice, I'll leave you with this shot of me, grabbing on to that gondola for dear life and absolutely terrified of toppling over into the water. LOOK HOW SIDEWAYS THAT BOAT IS!!!

See you next time!
