{sewing} I'm back in the game!

It's been a while.

Mostly due to moving house and all the adjustments that go with that. Before and afterwards. I didn't touch my sewing machine for months. But the dust seems to have properly settled now and I feel I'm ready to revive the blog.

Today I'm going to share a skirt I was inspired to make after seeing La La Land for the first time.

I'm not sure what it says about me that, out of all the gorgeous outfits that Emma Stone wore throughout the film, the one that spoke to me was the simplest one. A pleated skirt she had on while Mia and Sebastian were walking around the Warner Brothers lot.

As soon as I saw it, I knew I'd have to make one. The Colette Zinnia seemed like the perfect pattern to me. And I already had the perfect fabric in my stash left over from this Colette Hawthorn. It's a very lightweight chambray, I think and I joy to work with.

Construction went swimmingly and, just as before, I'm very happy with the end result. I've already worn it a few times and I think I'll get tonnes of wear out of it.

This is such a lovely pattern. I know I will be making more of it.
